Sirena. Mermaid logic, salt, sun, and something a little otherworldly. Swimwear with a myth attached.
The whole frame is two colors fighting it out, the blue of a sky with nothing in it and the pale heat of the sand. She kneels low in it, those braids running almost to the ground, and I dropped the camera down with her so the horizon sits high and the beach swallows everything else. There’s a little lifeguard tower way off in the haze, the only proof we were on a real beach and not somewhere invented.
It was bright enough to make you squint and mean it. No softboxes, no nonsense, just the sun doing what the sun does and me trying to stay out of my own shadow. She held the stillness better than I held the heat. Half mermaid, half mirage, and entirely fine with letting the empty sky do the talking.
