Altura, elevation. Sierra brought height and cool composure; fashion shot like the air gets a little thinner up there.
I built this one entirely out of color. A hot magenta corner, walls and carpet all the same saturated pink, and I tucked Sierra right into the seam where the two walls meet so the whole frame goes monochrome except for her. Dark red lace top, high-waisted flares, sunglasses hooked at the neckline, one hand flat to the wall, weight on a heel. Full length, head to toe.
The pink is doing a lot, so she does almost nothing, and that is the right trade. Long clean lines, the flare of the jeans echoing the long line of her, chin up, a look that says she has been waiting on me to take the shot. Cool composure is exactly it.
I love a shoot that gets this graphic. Strip it down to one color and one person and you find out fast whether the person can carry it. Sierra carried it without blinking.
