Línea limpia, clean line, cool nerve. White seamless, a coral blouse with all that beaded white lacework at the neckline, and not a single thing competing for attention except Jylian. High key, blown out, nowhere for a flaw to hide. I love shooting like this and I’m also a little afraid of it every time.
The pose does the work. Hand to the jaw, other hand on the hip, weight shifted, chin dropped just enough to throw a look back over the shoulder. That little knot of beaded cord falls down the front of the blouse and your eye follows it right where it should. She found the angle before I called it.
That’s the highest compliment a fashion frame can pay, I think. Jylian wore the styling like it was her idea, and the camera believed her. All I did was keep the background clean and stay out of the way of the line.
